Blog Post #5 - Moodboard for Media Studies - 9/28/2021

 

Hello! So for the blog post, I wanted to basically create a mood board on what exactly I'm feeling for what I'd like to create one day! As you can clearly see, a lot of the stuff pictured on this mood board make you feel happy! Well that was the intention on the creation of this mood board, but what brings happiness you may ask? Comedy! A lot of the stuff done here are in a Comedy Movie, whether it be a group of friends hanging out for a bite to eat or just doing stupid stuff in the city. Where the sky is always colored blue where they usually go to a beach or a park! A lot of the things here emit both Comedy & Happiness! For starters, a beach has many happy factors towards it such as friends going there and having fun doing various things such as building sandcastles, throwing water at each other or just genuinely having a good time. Another thing is the blue sky, whenever a blue skies out, so much fun can be done without the worry of rain or thunder or any other unholy things that can come from the sky. There are also two photos of friend groups together laughing and having a good time, which usually is something you’d always see in a wholesome comedy movie, one of which is them looking at something on a laptop with all of them reacting with laughter which is usually something that happens often at get togethers with a friend group, there’s also a fun gathering of friends laughing with each other at a restaurant and having a good time, which emulates to real life get togethers where usually friend groups meet up at restaurants just to have fun with each other! Another addition is the city, usually for comedy movies, the best setting is an average everyday city with bright blue skies that usually function regularly like the cities we have in our current world. No dark, gothic, and gloomy city like those that would be shown in a melancholic dramatic or horror movie. There’s also parks, another hangout spot for friend groups, where they can sit down and relax and just have a nice fun picnic and take a walk with each other or their pets, or play an outdoor sport, such as football, soccer, frisbees, or even with their pets. All in all, all of these things add up to what a comedy movie should be. Nothing dark, nothing sad, everything's just fun and happy that will put a smile on the audiences faces! Seeing people hang out with each other, eating, laughing in a bright blue and happy setting like a beach or a city park located within a part of the world that has nothing sad with its design is key to these kinds of movie genres. As of now, this is my current mood board for my little movie I wanna create but it’s open to change at some point in the near future. But I had a lot of fun making this mood board! See y’all later!
