Blog Post #18 - Costuming Designs - 2/11/2022

Now moving onto the next part of our project, the costumes! Our Costumes really aren't anything out of the ordinary, they're more or less more basic colors like black & white hoodies to signify rather the tone and mood of the opening as a whole and to match it's rather dark themes, but we also have decided to separate the coloring of whatever the passengers and the driver are wearing to highlight the contrast and also foreshadow something that should occur later within the story.

For starters, this is what we plan on having the various passengers wear.  Either a Dark, black hoodie or a gray hoodie, mainly just signify and foreshadow what is to come towards the passengers and the fate that they'll have once they disappear. It's also meant to have all of them wear something different from the driver as it'll show that they're the ones that weren't so lucky. Also these are being used to emphasize the rather dark and depressing themes of the movie as both black and gray are known to be depressing colors. 

Secondly, this is what we intend on having the driver wear! So the driver, as previously mentioned, will be wearing a much more bright and white hoodie to signify that they are the ones that'll be lucky and not disappear, unlike their other friends who are in the car with them. So main reason is to both foreshadow their fate and to emphasize their fate. But also, the connotation behind their hoodie color. Do note that they both won't be wearing hoodies but this is just being used a placeholder so that you all know what they're wearing. Additionally, it's also being used since the driver surviving was a good thing and white as a color shows that it's a good thing. 

So that's another factor of our project being knocked down! It'll be pretty easy to decide which costumes exactly we'll be wearing because as previously stated, it's nothing that's really out of this world.
