Blog Post #34 - Behind the Scenes of filming, Day 2 - 3/30/2022

 

So earlier this month, we chose to reshoot and redo our film opening. But of course, as mentioned previously we came in with more preparation and more people which would overall help the movie be a lot more better. We first off managed to plan what we would say while filming the movie like the main topic surrounding the film and also what shots we wanted to snub in there. I unfortunately couldn't make it this time around but I still assisted with the dialogue and what would be said, along with a couple of the shots that could've been added in as well. There was an Issue which as mentioned previously, it went down on the back parking lot of Our School but there was a club meeting happening at around the same time, but we used our issues to our advantage and used it to create a much more realistic atmosphere and vibe into the film itself. They then got to shooting in the car interior, but a lot of the equipment that was available was unfortunately unavailable! So they had to improvise, a phone was used and it had to balanced on the front glass of the car in order for it to work, after mutliple tests, a position was found and it worked. The Driver and the Passengers were left in charge of everything, but at the end we had to cut down some stuff. The next scene, which was the passengers disappearing from the car, needed a lot of retakes as there was some stuff thrown into the frame that was annoying and also the Driver either talking for too long or talking too little, but it was simple with a simple pan shot from the driver to the backseat and then also back to the driver. We then also to got to the build up of the final scene which all depended on how the Driver would react to his friends' mysterious disappearance and how they'd act and stuff. For the last scene, there was also some trouble since the actor either showed little emotion or took too long but ultimately, they managed to get the shot. So the second day of filming, was also a bigger success and also it maanged to be a good film put together.
